The dictionary is intended to be practical aid for both students and teachers.

It contains 777 entries divided into 37 categories and 12 questions arranged alphabetically in Norwegian (Bokmål and Nynorsk).

A great many words that are similar in most languages, e.g. radio or tractor, have been omitted.
